Emirates Airline Festival of Literature Hosts
Tuesday 31 January, 2012

The fourth edition of the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, which will be held from 6-10 March, 2012 in Dubai, will host the acclaimed Palestinian poet and novelist; Mourid Al Barghouti.
Al Barghouti, who is taking part in the Festival for the first time, will recite some of his poems which are characterized by a fine humanistic spirit. Moreover, his poems display an incredible ability to embody the Palestinian identity, to express the intricate details of Palestinian suffering, and to portray the Palestinian quest for peace, security and stability. In his poems, Al Barghouti succeeds in voicing the Palestinian people's right to live, without victimizing them in the process. He is considered one of the best authors who have successfully managed to convey the image of the Palestinian people to the other, through his poetry, his two novels and his participation in international literary events.
Furthermore, Al Barghouti will talk about his latest book; a memoir entitled: Wolidto Honak, Wolidto Hona (I was Born There, I was Born Here), which is the sequel to his widely acclaimed book; Ra'aytu Ram Allah (I Saw Ramallah).
