Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation Organizes a Week for the Chinese Culture in Dubai on February 22, 2010

Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation in Dubai launches on Monday, February 22, 2010 the Chinese Cultural Week activities, which include an exhibition of plastic arts, ceramics, a Chinese feature film (translated into Arabic), a concert featuring Chinese cultural heritage and a seminar on Arab-Chinese cultural exchange in which Chinese intellectuals, fluent in Arabic, will talk, as well as a selection of International Beijing Opera was at the closing ceremony, and the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation will issue a book containing literary examples, translated into Arabic of stories, poems and literary texts by contemporary Chinese writers.
Art Exhibition (Plastic Arts and ceramics) opens at 7:00 pm. on Monday, February 22, 2010, to be followed by musical concert by the All-Woman Ensemble Beauty & Melody at 8:00 pm.
Cultural activities continues for the second day with the screening of the Chinese film (Sao Chun and her mother) on Tuesday, February 23, in the presence of the film's director, Yang Yaozu and the film's star Tao Hong.
At 7:00 pm. on Wednesday, February 24, 2010, a specialized symposium on deep historical and cultural relations between the Arabs and China will be held, in which the following lecturers will talk: Professor Xue Qing Guo, and Prof. Gao Yuchun, the Chinese consul in Dubai.
And then Chinese Cultural Week is concluded with a musical evening held by Beijing Opera at 8:00 pm. on Thursday, February 25, 2010.
This week is the culmination of intensive efforts, preparations and meetings with the Chinese Ministry of Culture during the visit of a delegation from the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation to the People's Republic of China from 20 - 28 June, 2009 headed by Abdul Hamid Ahmed, Secretary General of the Foundation, when the delegation visited Beijing and other China's cities, during which they agreed on the some items of the Chinese culture to be presented in Dubai.
Also a Chinese cultural delegation visited the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation, led by Li Hong, deputy director of Foreign Affairs Department of the Chinese Ministry of Culture to put the final touches to the organization of a Chinese cultural week at the Foundation's premises, preceded by a visit by the same delegation to agree on the mechanisms of this activity which is the first of its kind in the region , and this qualitative momentum of diverse artistic and cultural events  makes Dubai a Forum for civilizations coexisting under the sky of the UAE.
