Beauty and Melody Ensemble Opens the Activities of the Culture Week of China at Al Owais Foundation

The Chinese all-Woman Beauty and Melody Ensemble opens the activities of the Chinese Cultural Week activities on Monday, February 22, 2010 at 7:00 pm. at Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation in Dubai. The Ensemble consists of a group of talented young female musicians, all of whom graduated from conservatories. They are not only professional instrumentalists, but also qualified in singing and dancing.
Beauty & Melody was established in 2004, which is affiliated to the Sichuan Provincial Singing and Dancing Ensemble, and has been invited to almost 20 times abroad for performances and cultural exchange programs. The wonderful performances, lectures and cultural exchange activities won lots of praise from the audience in Geneva (2005, for the 60-year-anniversary of UN), Los Angeles (2005), Macao (2006), Los Angeles-San Diego-San Francisco-Sacramento (2006), Poland (2006), South Africa(2006), Mexico (2007), Spain (2007), Czech-Slovakia (2008), Taiwan (2009), the Midwest of the United States (2009) and so on. It also performed for Chinese leaders and heads of various countries, won howling success and was received warmly by Chinese leaders and heads of various countries, and Sha Zukang, Chinese Ambassador to the United Nations expressed his admiration saying: “I never saw such a lot of audience for the performance of a nation in the history of Palais des Nations”
The Cultural week also includes an exhibition of plastic and ceramics arts, screening a Chinese feature film (translated into Arabic), a concert of Chinese cultural heritage and a seminar on Arab-Chinese cultural exchange in which Chinese intellectuals, fluent in Arabic, will speaks to the audience, as well as a selection of international Peking Opera group to be performed at the closing ceremony, and the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation will issue by a book containing examples of selected="true" literary works, translated into Arabic, including stories, poems and literary texts by contemporary Chinese writers.
