Hosted by Sultan Al Owais Foundation for a Whole Week China's culture fascinates the public in Dubai

The Chinese Cultural Week activities organized by the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture in the People's Republic of China and the Consulate General of China in Dubai was launched on Monday evening, February 22, in Dubai in the presence of H.E. Abdul Hamid Ahmad, Secretary General of the Al Owais Cultural Foundation, Hu Xiang Hu, the Deputy Director General of Foreign Affairs of the Chinese Ministry of Culture and His Excellency Gao Yuchun, Consul General of the Republic of China in Dubai. Dr. Mohammad Abdullah Al Mutawa, member of the Board of Trustees welcomed the Chinese delegation and said: "This qualitative activity is part of the Foundation's interest in providing diverse events and activities, including a bouquet of audio and visual arts as well as different genres of literature, in addition to featuring friend peoples' cultures, arts and literature and presenting them on the stage of the Foundation in Dubai, in the context of faith that we are a civilized people equipped with humanitarian history associated with strong ties with other  peoples of the world, emphasizing our respect for the peoples' cultures the same way we respect and cherish our culture and civilization which contributed over many centuries in the human civilizations and humanity."
Al Mutawa added: "The Foundation has hosted in this building, cultural exhibitions, specialized cultural seminars and musical, singing and symphony ensembles, theatre performances that represented their peoples, brocading the skies of the UAE with the cultures of different colors and tunes, without forgetting our own artistic and cultural national spectrum culture, as we have also performed on this stage various forms of our Arabic culture and arts. Art, literature and culture are the human bridge that links us with other peoples to assert our humanity and others' .. especially as we are all living on this global earth .., which has become a small village, and we are influenced by others just like they are, although the huge distances, between us". Then H.E Hu Xiang Hu, is the Deputy Director General of Foreign Affairs of the Chinese Ministry of Culture delivered the speech of the Chinese delegation reaffirming the importance of the relationship between China and the UAE, and noted that culture is the best means of communication between peoples, and the Chinese official considered the UAE as one of the typical regions for the promotion of trust among peoples and thanked Al Owais Foundation for the hospitality and appreciation received by the delegation from the moment of his arrival in Dubai, hoping that the days of Chinese culture in Dubai would be a great festival of happiness and joy, as the cultural week coincides with China Spring Festival.
The opening of the Chinese week at Al Owais Foundation was attended by a large audience of the UAE and Arab intellectuals and the Chinese community, who toured the major exhibition hall, where arts of ceramics, sculpture and plastic arts that fascinated he public were exhibited.
Also the attendance of the Chinese actress Thao Hong has contributed to a large public gathering for a photo op and autographs and the Chinese actress has expressed great happiness for her first visit to Dubai, and choosing her as a member of the Chinese delegation of artists and creators, to participate in the cultural week of China, Thao Hong and the Chinese director Yang Yaozu participate in the cultural week via the movie "Sao Chun and her mother," which is screened this evening, then the all-Women ensemble, Beauty and Melody performed a great musical show that captured a group of talented young female musicians, all of whom graduated from conservatories. They are not only professional instrumentalists, but also qualified in singing and dancing, and the Ensemble combines the Chinese traditional music and music instruments with Chinese minorities’ music and performing skills of Western music.
The Chinese cultural week includes an exhibition of plastic arts and ceramics, a Chinese feature film (translated into Arabic), a concert of the cultural heritage of China and a seminar on Arab-Chinese cultural exchange in which Chinese intellectuals, fluent in Arabic will speak to the audience, as well as a selection of Beijing Opera to be performed at the closing ceremony, and the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation will issue a book containing literary examples, translated into Arabic of stories, poems and literary texts by contemporary Chinese writers.
