Emirates Airlines Literature Festival Announces Names of Participants

The organizing committee for the 2nd edition of the Emirates Airlines Literature Festival, which will be held in Dubai on 10 March, announced the names of participants in the authors' sessions.
Representing the UAE will be Nujoom Al Ghanem, Mohamed Al Murr, Khalid Al Budoor, Maha Gargash, Ahmed Rashid Thani, Mariam Al-Saadi, Kholood al-Mu'alla, Muhammad bin Khatir, and Sarah Al-Jarwan. While the line-up from Britain includes: Kate Adie, Martin Amis, Mark Billingham, Tim Butcher, Conn Iggulden, Robert Lacy, Alexander Maitland, James Meek, James Waterson, Francis Wheen, Ian Whybrow, Jacqueline Wilson, David John Taylor, John Simpson, Andy Smart, Joe Abercrombie, Simon Armitage, Anthony Calderbank, Chris Cleave, Polly Dunbar, RJ Ellroy, Rachel Hore, Julia Johnson, Alice Coopers, Roger McGough, Greg Moss, Kate Moss, Michelle Paver, Gervase Phinn, Tony Ross, and John Agard.
Also participating will be Grace Nichols from Guinea; Imran Ahmad from Pakistan; Vikas Swarup, Imtiaz Dharker, Shobha De, Amit Chaudhuri, and Anjum Anand from India
Gillian Clark, Carol Ann Duffy, William Dalrymple, and Alexander McCall Smith will be gracing the event from Wales and Scotland. From the United States Isabel Fonseca, Robert Greene, Jeffrey Green, and Caroline Lawrence will be attending; while Ireland will be represented by Darren Shan and Oliver Jeffers.
Other participants include Yann Martel, Dennis Johnson Davis, and Margaret McMillan from Canada; Marjane Satrapi from Iran; Garth Nix of Australia; and Korky Paul of Zimbabwe.
Participants from Palestine include Laila Abou El Ela, Ghada Karmi, and Samer Abu Hawash; Raja Shehadeh from Sudan; Fadhil al-Azzawi and Samuel Shimon from Iraq; Turki al-Hamad, Abdo Khal, and Badriya Bashir from Saudi Arabia; Ahdaf Souief, Bahaa Taher, Yousseff Zeidan, Nadia Fouda and Eman Mirsal from Egypt; Alawiyya Sobh, Fatima Sharafeddine, and Nadine Toma from Lebanon; and from Jordan, Taghreed Najjar, Liaquat Ahamed, and Suzanne Hosseini.
