Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation has released recently the book "Fadha'at Al Khayyam" within the series of seminars held by the Foundation. The book included researches by each of, Dr Abdul Wahid Lulua, "Rubaiyat of Omar Al Khayyam in global Translations", Dr Mohammad Radhwan Al Daya "the intellectual value and importance of Rubaiyat Al Khayyam" and Dr Fatima Al Breiky " Rubaiyat Al Khayyam .. translated by Mohammed Saleh Al Gurg - analytical study" Dr Omar Abdel Aziz "An Interpreter for Al Khayyam and not a Translator - Al Gurg, who combined both virtues in approaching Al Khayyam".
These valuable research on the personality of the poet Omar Al Khayyam has been introduced in a public symposium during the first quarter of the current year, as the new translation of the Rubaiyat done by the poet Mohammed Saleh Al Gurg, has prompted a number of researchers to re-read Al Khayyam as a philosopher, a scientist and an astronomer, besides being a jurisprudential reference.
The book contains an introduction reflecting the keenness of Al Owais Foundation to reveal the aesthetic and artistic values in Al Khayyam's poetry, which was translated into Arabic by a large number of poets including: Issa Al Ma'luf, Wadi' Al Bustani, Ahmad Al Safi Al Najafi, Mustafa Jawad, Jamil Sedqi Al Zahawi, Ahmad Zaki Abu Shadi, Ibrahim Al Mazini, Ibrahim Al Areedh, Mostafa Wasfi Al Tal, Ali Mahmoud Taha, Issa Al Naaouri, Abdul Rahman Shukri, Muhammad Al Sibai', Abbas Mahmoud Al aqqad, Mohammed Ghunaimi Helal, Ahmed Rami and others.
It is noteworthy that "Rubaiyah" is a 4- hemistich piece of poetry, one of the Persian poetry templates that have either one rhyme or two. The book contains 200 pages of medium size and is available at the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation.
