| Sources of Pre-Islamic Poetry, the Latest of Al Owais Foundation's |

Issued recently by Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation, the book "Sources of Pre-Islamic poetry and their historical value" by Dr. Nasser Eddin al-Assad, as part of the series of "winners" which aims to republish the foremost book of each winner in the different fields of the award, especially books that were out of stock in the cultural market.
The book, 717 pages of large size, included five main chapters, and it was appended with research sources and references and indexes relating to great figures, places and books and an index of poetry.
The book made an introductory to the pre-Islamic Arab communities and their dissimilar civilizations; it also addressed the factors of unity and diversity in the Arab world, Arab tribe, Bedouins, social classes in pre-Islamic age and the significance and factors of the rise of Arab civilization and pre-Islamic age.
In the introduction written by the Author, we read: "I made maximum effort to adopt a purely scientific approach, without taking anyone's side, or holding to anyone's view, I was committed to what I had in mind, and perhaps I should mention that when I stroke a subject, I was only stimulated by the subject itself.
