Secretary General of Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation; His Excellency Abdul Hamid Ahmed, has opened the 8th art exhibition of Al Jidar Group, which is hosted by the Foundation. The opening ceremony saw the attendance of many plastic artists, journalists and art enthusiasts who browsed through 70 works of art by 11 artists that were displayed at the Foundation's Exhibition Hall. The artworks on display belonged to different art genres and artistic trends, and included paintings, sculptures, and art formations of various styles and patterns.
The exhibition saw the participation of artists Najat Makki, Ahmed Hailoz, Abdul Karim Al Sayyed, Mohammed Yousef, Mohammed Fahmi, Mahmoud Al Ramhi and Ihsan Al-Khatib. In addition the exhibition features four new artists, who are the latest addition to Al Jidar Group; they are: Mona Al Khaja, Abdul Rahim Salem, Mahmoud Abboud and Khalil Abdul Wahid. The exhibition will run for 10 days.

Artworks by Al Jidar Group express different art movements within the framework of one artistic experience. For example, they bring together Impressionism with Abstract Art, or Classicism with Modernism at the same time; which results in an art experience of great variety and richness, not only in terms of style but also in terms of the themes and issues tackled by the artworks. The themes of the artworks express many sentiments, and their poetic nature touches the soul with the various human aspects they reflect.

The Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation has set aside the following section in the brochure of the Exhibition to welcome Al Jidar group which has returned once more to exhibit its artwork at the Foundation: "The Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation organizes this exhibition driven by its keenness to promote cultural diversity and due to the importance of art in cultural life. It is a positive step that aims to reach a larger socio-cultural segment, as the artworks of Al Jidar Group represent diverse techniques and styles that reflect a unique harmony between the paintings and their meanings, thus offering broader scope for cultural presence and knowledge. Al Jidar Group gives special attention to various artistic genres and fields and their impact on society, and expresses different cultural climates that form together the mosaic of knowledge."
