Dubai Traditional Poetry Forum to Launch on February 1st, 2012

The Higher Organizing Committee of the 11th session of the Dubai Traditional Poetry Forum, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum; Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, has concluded its preparations for an exceptional edition of the Forum that will run from February 1-4, 2012. The Forum, which will be held at Rashid Hall in Dubai World Trade Centre, will comprise 3 poetry evenings that will feature 10 poets. The Forum's Higher Organizing Committee had held an extensive meeting, headed by Majid Abdul Rahman Al Bastaki, Media Director of the Office of the Crown Prince of Dubai, where many of the latest updates and surprises related to the new session of the Forum were discussed; such as the newly redecorated Rashid Hall, which has been designed to resemble a complete heritage village that extends beyond its doors to welcome the guests of the Forum amidst the heritage ambience that aims to recreate the environment where the Nabati poem is created.
Moreover, the meeting discussed other surprises of the new session of the Forum; which will offer its audience a fine collection of national poems by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, such as the arrangements pertaining to media coverage, especially coverage by satellite channels; where it was concluded that viewers will able to follow the poetry evenings on Sama Dubai Satellite Channel.
It is worth mentioning that the new session of the Dubai Traditional Poetry Forum will host 10 poets including Ali Bin Salem Al Kaabi (UAE), Saad Alloush (Kuwait), and Lafi Al Ghidani (KSA) who will take part in the first poetry evening. The second poetry evening on February 2nd, will feature Emirati poet Mohammed Bil Mur Bil Abd, Saudi poet Falah Al Qarqah, and Kuwait poet Abdullah Alloush. In conclusion, the final poetry evening, which will be held on February 4, 2012, will feature Qatari poet Shabib Arar Al Nuaimi, Emirati poet Saad Marzouq Al Ahbabi, Saudi poet Saad Al Khalawy, and Kuwaiti poet Turki Al Dihani. All the poetry evenings will start at 8 pm.
